Camlock Couplings, also known as Cam and Groove couplings are used in a wide range of industries. They are a quick and simple method of connecting or disconnecting hoses and pipes without the need for tools, and because they work so quickly they are often used as replacement for traditional time-consuming methods of connecting hoses.

Camlocks can be used in a wide range of applications, including but not limited to:They have the ability to work at high pressures (see the table below) and come with different seal options depending on what application they are being used for. They are also available in a number of different materials to suit specific working conditions such as: aluminum, stainless steel and polypropylene.

When using a Camlock coupling, the two halves must be aligned correctly before the handle can be pulled to engage the locking arms and release the seal. Once engaged, the handle is pushed down to reseal the lock. The safety pins on the coupler are only activated when the handle is released and are designed to prevent accidental disconnection.

Some premium couplings have the safety pin permanently connected or incorporated into the cam arm to further increase security and reduce downtime.
