Welding quality As for iron plate welding flanges, many customers question whether the quality of iron plate welding flanges is better than that of forged welding flanges. In fact, the quality of iron plate welded flanges is the same as that of forged welded flanges, but where can the iron plate welded flanges be guaranteed? That is, the material of the iron plate welded flanges is the least guaranteed, because In the general process, the density of the iron plate welded flange is not a problem, but during the production process, the blank of the iron plate welded flange is rarely tested. Therefore, after the production, it does not pass through The material of the tested iron plate welding flange cannot be guaranteed. [1] Equipment required for welding A set of manual electric welding equipment, a handle angle grinder, an electric hammer, and a plane ruler. Preparation before welding 1. Check and debug the equipment to ensure the normal operation of the equipment; 2. To prepare the φ4.0J402 electrode, it is best to dry it at 300℃-350℃ for one hour. Welding process 1. Assembly Assemble the cone and the large flange according to the drawing requirements, and then divide the large flange into 8 equal parts. 2. Welding Because the flange is thicker and the groove is larger, segmented symmetrical, multi-layer welding is adopted. Weld quality The weld strength is required to reach at least the strength of the base metal. The surface of the weld is flat and smooth, and there are no defects such as burn-through, pores, weld leakage, slag inclusion, undercut, and insufficient weld. The remaining height is less than 2mm. Precautions 1. Be sure to use J506 electrode for manual surfacing when making the bottom, and use low current welding. Weld in strict accordance with the welding process. 2. After each position is welded, use a level to check the deformation of the flange plane. 3. Use an air hammer to hammer the weld while welding to achieve the effect of eliminating stress.
